Emslie Horniman Pleasance

An award-winning redevelopment of an existing park in an ethnically diverse district of central London. The project includes landscaped parkland, a new sports pitch and changing facilities, a children's playground and the refurbishment of a listed C.F.A. Voysey designed garden. The design was informed by consultations with user groups and stakeholders within the local community, while local artists contributed integrated works of art. The annual influx of thousands of people to the park during the Notting Hill Carnival was a significant factor taken into consideration during design development.
