The building consists of a process shed with adjoining refinement area and ‘pods’ of support accommodation. The design of the building’s external envelope resolves both the visual demands of the site and the operational demands of the brief. The architectural solution utilizes the ‘pods’ and contrasting low maintenance ‘industrial’ materials to temper the overall scale of the building, creating an aesthetic appropriate to the sensitive setting.
