As part of its Prudential Code Schools Programme, Inverclyde Council is amalgamating two primary schools into one 680 pupil school together with an 80/80 nursery facility. The proposal designs, which respond dramatically to its sloping site and views, also incorporate natural daylight and ventilation strategies to all occupied areas. Acoustics, local weather conditions and security issues have all been taken on board in developing a design which is both architecturally exciting and robust.
