Studio E Architects led a full design team bid to win this £40 million development commission for a 206 unit residential development and a new leisure centre. The first stage of work required the preparation of a masterplan strategy that would secure Outline Planning Permission for the residential enabling development. This was essential to the viability of the entire project. The residential units were to be designed to be “tenure neutral”. Studio E Architects led on the masterplan and Planning Application. Subsequently the practice took the lead in preparing detailed Employer’s Requirements for the leisure centre prior to a Design and Build Contract being let for the project’s implementation. Studio E Architects’ team was retained client side.
